• What you need to get started

  1. A blank Secure Digital Memory Card (SD Card). A small amount of memory is fine (32 MB). There is no need for a large SD card - the Pleo behaviors we are working on aren't even 1 MB...and large cards don't necessarily operate as well in Pleo. We recommend a card of less than 1 GB in capacity.

  2. An SD Card Reader/Writer. Your computer may have a built-in SD card reader/writer. If not, you can order one online or pick one up at your local electronics retailer.

  
  
• How to use a download

  UGOBE's special behavior modes temporarily replace Pleo's normal, adorable personality. They do not erase or damage it in any way- they simply disables it temporarily while you have fun with a modified Pleo.

  Here are the steps:

  1. Download the .urf file onto your desktop.
  NOTE: As tempting as it is, unless you have updated to LifeOS 1.1, do not rename the file, as Pleo will not recognize a different name. (Yes - this means that you need to store different pleo.urf files in different folders so that they can have the same name.)
  

  2. Insert blank SD card into the reader/writer. If the card has a warranty sticker on it, remove it first.

  3. Copy the file from your desktop to the SD card.

  4. Remove the SD card from the reader/writer.

  5. Turn Pleo off.

  6. Insert the SD card into the SD card slot in Pleo's belly.

  7. Turn Pleo on

  8. The feature on the SD card will temporarily override Pleo's usual personality.

• How to disable a download
  
  

  1. Turn Pleo off.
  2. Remove the SD card. Gently push the card and release to pop it out.
  3. Turn Pleo back on.
  4. Pleo's regular personality is restored.
