In bringing Pleo to life, we set out to create a Life Form capable of organic and realistic movement, autonomous behavior, adaptive learning, and expressive personality through emotional responses.

  

We now have a set of resources for developers to begin to learn about how Pleo works. These documents are intended for experienced C programmers to get a general understanding of the process by which applications are written for Pleo.

The Pleo Development Kit makes it possible for you to creatively interact with Pleo on the programming level. Whether you are a casual hobbyist or hardcore hacker, you'll be supported at a level that makes your personalization of Pleo rewarding and fun. You'll be able to tap into your creativity to modify his behaviors, tweak an animation or completely reinvent him. Will you design a new neural network learning algorithm, or add a cool sound effect? The PDK makes personalization rewarding and fun.
