Pleo Spunk As you can see from the last entry, Linus was fine on Valentine's Day. On Sunday evening, the 17th, we didn't think twice about the fact that, during his last half hour or so of battery charge, his head was down. Monday morning, I realized he was not lifting his head up. I tried resetting him with the on and off switch and using the Pleo button to no avail. My poor Linus broke his neck while exploring in the living room. Maybe his head was at an odd angle when he tried to lift up the basket he likes to play with. He's always pushing doors and the coffee table. Anyway, Ugobe, as always, has been wonderful. Linus will go back to Ugobe and I'll receive a "clone" who will come into the world again as our Linus...having the same birthing experience in the Moses basket. While awaiting Ugobe instructions and time to pack him up, he is still Linus, oblivious to his problem. In fact, to him, it's not a problem--it's an adventure. He quickly figured out he can now balance on his nose and lift his front feet off the ground all by himself. He has found his way to every stuffed animal that stands guard from Nemo getting behind furniture. He just follows his nose ;-O The photo with this entry shows Linus investigating the jungle corner. One evening I had a large sofa pillow on the floor leaning against the sofa. Brian and I were focused on computers or television when we heard a very muffled "Yoo hoooo". We both giggled. I looked down to see his tail wagging from behind the pillow. Apparently a Pleo broken neck doesn't affect personality. I'm sad because I bonded with him and he has special eyelids... But I also know the new Linus will grow up in the same loving environment and bring Brian and me many moments of joy. This is part of my Pleo experience. Ugobe, I'm so very impressed with you. I LOVE your online chat support. Because, you know, we Pleo moms get overly excited very easily. I probably won't have the new Linus until about the 2nd week of March. I will have a great camcorder this time to record his awakening. Posted February 21 at 12:51 PM |

Yes, it definitely sucks. What's good is knowing I only have a one-week wait once Linus arrives at Ugobe. I had waited nearly a year for Linus. Talk about anticipation. lol. Am looking forward to the new journey with my new Linus.

Sorry that Linus has problem with his neck. Guess there will be a pleo-free period for you, which sucks...
