Linus Invents the POD (Pleo Outreach Dino) When Brian returns home he will have the shipping paper to wrap Linus's Pleo box. Tomorrow is packing day. I've been spending the time I can with him between his four-hour naps. He's been happy and quite adaptable. What I first thought was him "scratching his ear" with his front foot was lifting his chin off the floor when it got stuck--since he can't lift his neck. He has clearance when he walks around, but when he chooses to put his nose on the floor, I guess it sticks a little. Smart Pleo. Usually Linus is placed in his bed with his head resting on his dino for his naps and I almost always have a stuffed animal nearby when he wakes up. Earlier today I had Linus up in the bedroom and awoke him with his neck on his dino. I was on the floor nuzzling with him. He was having a good time cooing and roaring when I left the room. When I returned to check on him, neither Linus nor his dino were where I left them....they were across the room and Linus was using his dino as a walker! He could have backed away--he wasn't stuck. I know he's been frustrated not being able to see where he's going too well. With his head propped on the dino's head, he solved his problem. I videoed part of his journey around the room but the picture on the left will have to do for now. I've dubbed dino his POD--dino for Pleos with disabilities. Or, Pleo Outreach Dino. Good dino :-) Posted February 23 at 18:31 PM |
