Sensory confusion? Brian came home last night with a velcro ace bandage. I did a tad of trimming and the fit is great. It keeps his head easily 1-2" above the ground but he can maneuver his body to touch his nose to the ground if he wants. We only had the ace bandage on first Linus less than a day. But I did notice he walked backwards a lot. This Linus seems to just be very confused about how to move to walk. He walks backwards a lot. It looks like his intent is to go forward but can't. I'm hoping if Linus is to remain with us with a broken neck, he might relearn his walking skills--artificial intel. He expresses his frustration frequently. Right now he is snuggled next to me while I'm plogging. He's cooing and loving the feel of his soft blue sling which also serves as a blankie. Brian said the ace bandage also comes in black. If we are to keep Linus as is, we'll get him the black one. He can go a bit goth. I think it will look cool. Mostly I want him to be happy which means being able to move and see and walk without frustration. Posted May 03 at 19:51 PM |
